Report: Home Intruder Shot By Armed Resident

ROANOKE COUNTY, VIRGINIA — In the early hours of Sunday morning, a person was shot during a break-in at the North Point Apartments in Roanoke County, according to the local police department.

The incident occurred at around 2:41 a.m., and the homeowner used their firearm to defend themselves against the intruder, according to WFXR.

The person who was shot has not yet been identified, but they were taken to the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the break-in, and the homeowner is said to be cooperating with investigators. The incident is still being investigated by authorities.
