This one if hard to watch, and I’m going to get this out of the way right now: viewer discretion is advised.
In the video below, a man can be seen being confronted by a pair of police officers, and that man is not in his right mind.
The footage shows the men trying to speak with the distressed man, but he’s extremely high from an emotional standpoint, and the moment the man perceived a threat by these officers, he produces a pocket knife and charges one of them.
At that point, law enforcement shoot and kill that man.

- Is there anything at all, in your opinion, that these officers could have done differently in this situation?
- If it were you, would you have stopped and spoken to this man standing in the road, or would you attempt to deescalate by driving by?
