Suspect Allegedly Uses Car As Battering Ram, Gets Shot By Homeowner And Arrested

BOSQUE COUNTY, TEXAS — A suspect is in custody after he was shot during a burglary attempt in Bosque County, according to reports.

The incident occurred January 3rd at around 6:50 p.m., according to KWTX.

The incident occurred at a residence on County Road 3505.

The suspect, identified as William Strauser, rammed his vehicle through the locked gate of the homeowner’s property and then attempted to force his way into the residence. The homeowner shot Strauser and held him at gunpoint until deputies arrived.

Strauser was transported to an area hospital for a gunshot wound to his right upper leg. He was taken into custody after his release. Sheriff’s officials stated that Strauser and the homeowner are acquainted and that Strauser’s act was not random.
