SAN MATEO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Police say 7 people are dead and 1 injured after being shot at two separate locations by a 67-year-old suspect who is now in custody.
The mass shooting happened Monday afternoon, just a few days after another mass shooting near Los Angeles where 11 people were killed and another 9 injured.
Four victims were found dead at about 2:22 p.m. along the 12700 block of Cabrillo Highway, the sheriff’s office said. Another victim was transported to Stanford Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after that discovery, three more victims were found dead at a separate scene in the area, according to the sheriff’s office.

According to police, the victims were Chinese farm workers.
