WEST CHESTER, OHIO — Courtney Montgomery has his charges dropped after evidence in the case showed that he defened himself from the woman whom he shot.

This incident happened at The Highlands West Chester Apartment Complex at the 6700 block of Fountains Boulevard, around 1:30pm on September 7th. Initial reports had Montgomery accused of following a woman to her apartment, where he entered with a gun. There was apparently a wrestling match in which a 25-year-old woman was shot and wounded. All of this happening in front of a 4-year-old child.

During the investigation, police discovered that Montgomery had been lured there. Montgomery had been heading to the apartment for a romantic encounter. When he arrived there, he had a gun shoved in his face and the two women attempted to rob him.

Montgomery was armed and shot one of the women, took her gun and ran away.

It is unknown at this time if either of the two women will be charged.
