A small group of armed citizens, decked out in protective gear and rifles, attempted to stop groups of rioters and looters from destroying businesses. They began yelling at people in front of a business after they had entered, and successfully got them to leave.
Sadly, they likely just walked further down the street to cause more chaos where the armed citizens were not going to get in their way.
While I commend them, it’s a dangerous position to put yourself in. With no law during a riot, however, there is no one else there to stop these rioters from causing mass destruction.
This is the second night of riots, and a much more dangerous one as people from other areas have come out to cause chaos.
The protests and riots began after a black man was shot in the back by officers on Sunday during an altercation. The details of that altercation are still unknown, and it is also unknown when police will release additional details.
