Armed Robber Enters Home, Announces Robbery, Shoots Unarmed Resident. . . Just Because

I can’t tell you how many times people have asked me, “Why do you carry at home?”. Or better yet, “What are you so afraid of inside your own home?”. For me, the answer is more of a ‘why not’ than anything else. I could sit there and tell them that 100% of home invasions happen inside the home, but logical statistics seem to fly over their heads.

Instead, I’ll share a story of a man who was at home minding his own business, when an armed intruder barged in and announced that a robbery was taking place. Then the armed intruder shot the resident multiple times. Just because.

Here’s how it unfolded, in a nutshell:

*Resident hears knocks at the door*

*Resident goes and answers the door*

*Armed man forces his way in and announces robbery*

*Armed man shoots unarmed resident multiple times*

*Armed man successfully leaves with cash and other valuables*

As you may have guessed, the intruder got away and has yet to be found. The resident was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds and is said to be in stable condition.

A reminder; carry at home. Below is an example of how this should have gone…
