Depends how big that balloon is.

    • Robert Messier

and how hot the load is, is it a hollow point? Is it jacketed? Too many variables. Good concept though.

LOL! BLAST SHIELD?! Afraid that a stray water droplet will hit you? Maybe the bullet will do a u-turn? lol “Hurry! Get behind the plexiglas wall! There are exploding balloons everywhere!”

  • Aaron Murphy

Try it with a blackpowder muzzle loader. The slower the velocity, the further it’ll go. (Mythbusters did an episode on shooting through water: muzzleloaders went the furthest, while a Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle bullet vaporized within 2 feet.)

    • Mack

They also proved that a small bullet (.22) travels further in water than a large round (.50)

Bring on the archery gear. How many balloons you think an arrow or bolt can go through?

  • Alex Mercado

Looks like it descended and got caught on the bottom of the last balloon, which may have effected the bullet’s trajectory differently that if it had all balloons orthogonally (straight on).

Try full house loads…e.g.Buffalo Bore, Grizzly or Double Tap 340 grain.
