The building went into lockdown, and all entrances were secured shortly after. While the scene is still active, it was confirmed by the Arlington Fire Department that multiple people were down at the scene. Their conditions were not immediately available.
The scene of the incident is secure. It is still an active crime scene. We request that everyone stay away from the Metro rail entrance and bus platform area. Transportation at the Pentagon is diverted to Pentagon City.
