Armed Store Manager Engages In Shootout With Armed Robber Who Made Off With $900

GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA — On Tuesday morning, gunfire broke out between a battery store employee and an armed robber at Batteries+ located on 2709 Battleground Avenue in Greensboro.

The incident occurred just after 8 a.m. as the store manager was opening the store. The robber, armed with a revolver and on foot, confronted the manager, demanding money. Successfully fleeing with $900, the suspect and the manager exchanged gunshots during the confrontation.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the incident.

The Greensboro Police Department is actively investigating the situation.
