One Teen Dead, Two In Custody After Reported Little Rock Carjacking

LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS — Two teen suspects are facing murder charges after their accomplice was shot and killed as they attempted a carjacking in Little Rock, according to KARK.

The incident occurred Sunday, December 18th at the Eagles Nest Apartments on Torrey Pine Court. Three teens, identified as Daryl Jones, Tamarion Jones and Kenneth Perkins reportedly approached a vehicle in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

According to police, Perkins knocked on the window of the vehicle with a gun and instructed the driver to get out. The female driver asked Perkins what he was saying and as Perkins was distracted, produced a gun.

Both Perkins and the vehicle’s driver fired on each other. The driver then fled to her apartment and called police. Perkins was located by police with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

He was pronounced dead a short time later. Both Jones’ were also located and taken into custody. Both are facing murder and attempted robbery charges and were held without bond at the time of the report. The driver has not been charged in the incident.
