ATLANTA, GEORGIA — A woman defended herself, shooting a man in the leg during an assault after running away from her assailant, according to police.
Shortly after 2 a.m., police say the incident began inside an apartment. The woman involved in the incident proceeded to run away to a Publix parking lot where she shot the man in the leg after he gave chase. Police believe that she shot the man while he attempted to assault her.
The man was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive. It is unknown at this time if the woman will face charges.
