TULSA, OKLAHOMA — It is always extra tragic when a self defense shooting is between friends or family members. In Tulsa, a man who was high on PCP attacked his friend. With no other recourse, the friend shot and killed him in self defense.
TPD said Alfred Guy, who was high on PCP, went over to a friend’s apartment to ask for a ride. When the friend said no, police said Guy attacked his friend.
Tulsa Police said Guy stabbed his friend in the back, so the friend pulled out a gun and shot Guy once. Police say Guy died the next day – on Thanksgiving morning – at the hospital.Via News On 6
Sadly, this was all over a dispute regarding getting a ride. Obviously it did not help that the friend who started the assault was high on drugs. After being refused a ride, the drug crazed man stabs his friend and continues to attack him. The friend was left with no choice but to retrieve his firearm and defend himself.
Police are considering the matter a clear cut case of self defense. Being stabbed by an assailant is pretty much all the reason one needs to shoot in self defense. The injured man was taken to the hospital and treated for his stab wounds, and later released. His friend, the assailant, died the following day.
