Armed Robber Shot In Neck By Armed Employee Who Simply Wasn’t Having It

LAPLACE, LOUISIANA — An armed robber didn’t get what he was after, but he did get what was coming to him in the form of instant karma.

The suspect, who has not yet been identified, was trying to earn some cash the thug way.

The robbery occurred just before 9 a.m. at an unnamed store in the 400 block of Belle Terre Boulevard in LaPlace, the Sheriff’s Office said. The suspect entered the store brandishing a gun.

As soon as the suspect entered, an employee sprung into action. That employee was armed, and immediately fired on the suspect. He was struck in the neck and down for the count, unable to continue his mission.

No other injuries were reported.

It’s a desperate thing for someone to walk into a store with a gun and announce a robbery. Many criminals, if not all, know that there’s a chance they could encounter an armed citizen during their crime. While most don’t encounter any armed resistance, some of course do.

It must be worth it to them, or they simply think that “Being met with armed resistance will never happen to me.”

It does happen, and it seems to be happening on a more frequent basis, as more Americans are carrying firearms in order to defend themselves.

Stay armed, stay trained, and continue the needed support for our 2nd Amendment rights.
