Resident Shoots And Kills Alleged Intruder

Published

BAXTER COUNTY, AR — A man was shot and killed after allegedly trying to break into a relative’s home, The Baxter Bulletin reports.

Paul James Assaf was shot early this month and killed at the scene, and his body has been taken to a crime lab for analysis. Both state and local police are involved in the investigation.

However, other than that, a lot of this case is a mystery. The Baxter Bulletin did not report whether or not the homeowner was aware of the identity of the home invader, and there is no mention of how the two individuals were related.

Regardless of the details, this break-in gives us two separate reminders in responsible carry:

  1. Family violence is tragic, but it does happen. Please take care to look after you and your loved ones’ safety.
  2. Always, always, always carry at home.

Stay safe out there, folks.
