[CCW IN ACTION] Another Concealed Carrier Stopping Another Armed Robbery — Real People Making A Real Difference

PASCO COUNTY, FLORIDA — A concealed carrier shot an armed robbery suspect in the leg after the suspect pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene and transported the suspect to a hospital where he is receiving care for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

According to First Coast News, neither the clerk nor the concealed carrier were harmed. Pasco County Sheriff’s Office hasn’t charged the concealed carrier, who is confirmed to have a license to carry a concealed handgun.

Another concealed carrier stopping another bad guy? No way. Only bad guys have guns.

All joking aside, this sort of thing can only happen if you, the concealed carrier, carry every single day. No one plans their day around the next armed robbery or assault. It comes down to preparedness.

It seems like society places so much effort into ensuring bad guys get proper medical treatment and nice, clean places to sleep at night. We have to put as much focus on protecting our own lives and those around us. The last thing I want to see is a news report where some reporter is shaking his head on camera and saying, “if only he just rolled over and played dead.”

Playing dead doesn’t work. A bad guy with his finger on the trigger isn’t interested in negotiation or diplomacy. Situational awareness, training, using the right handgun bullets, and carrying concealed everyday, everywhere — those are the things each of us need to take extremely seriously.

Our families depend on us getting home at the end of the day.

Thank you to that concealed carrier for potentially saving the life of the clerk in the convenience store. When criminals are afraid to rob someone in broad daylight, you know you’re doing something right.

Carry concealed every single day. Your life is worth it.
