Housekeeping: Some Bad 3rd Party Ads Are Redirecting Mobile Users… Send Us Your Screen Shots!

Published

‘Tis the life of the internet, I guess. Once in a while, our ad server is plagued with nuisance ads that redirect mobile users to download an app, or warn “You have a virus! Click here to remove it!”

While these redirects shouldn’t cause you any harm, they sure are annoying and frustrating. We do our best to stay on top of them and weed them out, but 9 times out of 10, we need to know who we’re dealing with in order to successfully stop them.

That’s where you (hopefully) come in. If you ever see one of these annoyances, please send us a screen shot of where you’re taken. We can be reached at [email protected] or you can message us on our Facebook Page. Or, leave a comment below. What we’re ultimately looking for is the URL that the ad takes you to, and then we can block it in our account. However, any screen shot could prove useful.

This is the 2nd time this has happened to us, and we hope to have things situated soon. If you’ve seen them, we apologize and appreciate your patience and help while we work through it.

Ads are what keep us running and allow us to provide you with the content we publish. This is just one of those things that comes with the territory, unfortunately.
