In the heat of Arizona, it’s single-stack season most of the year! I carry my Smith&Wesson Shield .40 cal every day in a Foxx Hybrid holster. I keep two spare 7 round magazines in an off hand pocket or mag carrier, and keep a Fenix LD02 on hand for nighttime recon. I have an NDZ Performance back plate on the Shield, and I prefer to carry it at the 4 o’clock position. Even with a single stack, I definitely don’t feel under-gunned with the Shield!
The holster is comfortable, with good retention (though I plan on upgrading to Alien Gear soon!). The gun itself is at least as accurate as I am, extremely comfortable to carry and shoot, and sexy to boot! Stay safe out there.
