PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH — There have been two fatal self-defense shootings in just as many days in Utah, this time during a home invasion attempt in Pleasant Grove.

The home invasion turned fatal when the suspect who was trying to enter the home was shot and killed by the homeowner. No other details are available at this time, but this seems to be a clear-cut case of self-defense.

Just yesterday, a Utah resident with a concealed carry permit intervened in a carjacking attempt in a grocery store parking lot. In that incident, the suspect lunged at the armed citizen and was shot once in the chest. The suspect died from his injuries.
