Venturing into the minds of criminals can sometimes be of great benefit to the public. A Massachusetts sheriff’s office did just that by interviewing a few inmates, specifically asking them what they look for when choosing homes to break into. The details they give are great, and can be used to better secure your own home and family.

You probably know about some of the things mentioned in the video, but some other things may not be so obvious. Let’s use this as a learning tool to be better prepared.

After all, an estimated 3.7 Million homes are broken into each year, and a household member was present for roughly 1 Million of those break-ins.
