    Brandon… G27 was #3….

    • You know…that was the strangest thing. Not sure how I missed that!

  • 627PCFan

    Someone omitted wheelguns………..

  • Lew Gosnell

So, no short barrel revolvers? What planet was this survey held on?

    • The list was compiled from data based on sales of Alien Gear Holsters.

  • Mine is no. 1. Love my Gen 4 G19

  • Quentin

No love for CZ. Oh well. P-01 still No.1 in my book.

  • Trevor

    Glock.. Glock.. Glock!

  • irish7_1sg

Well, this will be great advertising for Glock and Springield! Not my first choices, but sales numbers don’t lie. I would have expected a few lightweight revolvers to have made the list, Ruger LCR, Smith & Wesson or Taurus.

  • Phil Smith

I shot the Glock 42 last week. The worst gun I have ever shoot. I’m no Glock fan anyway but the 42 sets a new low.

  • Gary Griffiths

Weird rankings, and some misinformation. For example, the Glock 19/23 isn’t a bit slimmer than the 17/22, just shorter in the barrel and butt. You can use a Glock 17 magazine in a 19, and even put a 17 slide/barrel assembly on a 19 if you’ve a mind to.

My hubby carries a Springfield XDS and I own (used to carry) the Smith and Wesson Shield. Currently I carry the Kimber 1911 Ulta Carry II.

  • Pistol Pop’s

No pocket 380s? Those are the biggest sellers. Looks like Glock was paying for this one, lol. I love my Glock 23 but why are double stacks on the list? I only saw 2 small conceal guns, the G42 & the Shield. I sell both at my shop as well as the LC9S, with the better trigger, which should also be on the list along with the new Walther CCP 9mm (if you can find one)! It feels even better than the Shield. Love mine! Very nice!! Would probably have to add the Taurus PT-111 for the price & the great reviews. Probably the most compact high capacity one out there. The Smith airweights & Ruger LCRs are great in a pocket too!

    • Clint Poncy

yeah you figure the Rugel LCP would have been a shoe-in. Also guns like the Khar and CZ? also not sub 1911’s? I think this may have been a bit scewed…

  • Gevito

The Shield should be #1. Glock 19 and 23’s demand numbers should count separately and combining is cheating for 2 separate calibers. XD

Who are they kidding? This is a list of striker fired semi-auto pistols based on sales of one relatively new brand of holster. Instead of titling this article “Top 10 Most Popular Handguns For Concealed Carry: 2015 Edition”, a more accurate title would be “The Top 10 Handguns by Holster Orders Placed to Alien Gear Holsters”. People really need to read the info critically and not just watch the video.

Some of the guns ranked in their top ten are recent introductions and not enough of them have been built to justify their placement on a list of “Most Popular” firearms.

Further, the article states “In this video we cover the most popular handguns used in concealed carry for 2015 as of Feb. 24th. Data based off of YTD sales from concealed carry company, Alien Gear Holsters.” This means that the most popular guns of 2015 is determined by data from January 1, 2015 through February 24, 2015. That is the definition of year to date. Less than two months of data were used to draw conclusions for the entire year of 2015 and the year is not yet half over.
This article seems like an attempt to discretely advertise a holster brand but what it actually does is provide an illustration of how far people will go to grab attention and accumulate clicks. The company caters to people who like one style of gun and their style of holster. For shooters who prefer revolvers or double action hammer fired semi-autos, this list is meaningless.

  • Griff

Mine missed the list :( Sig Sauer P320 Compact

  • Braxton Smith

glock will soon be no longer used by FBI they are switching back to 9mm and the P320 for some divisions my uncle was just given one.

  • Allen Ginter

    Glock42 is POS…..period.

Readers should not conflate “the most popular” with “the best”. If your wallet can tolerate it, there are much better concealed carry handguns that top the $600 mark, which these guns all seem to be confined to. “Most popular” is almost always antithetical to “the best”.
