Man Breaks Into Apartment In Austin TX, Points Gun At Resident, Gets Surprise Instead

AUSTIN, TX — A 26-year-old man is dead after breaking into the apartment of an armed citizen. Ray Anthony Arredondo died at the scene after the resident defended his life.

Detectives say the man living in the apartment was asleep when Arredondo forced his way into the home. Arredondo pointed a gun at the man, police say, and demanded he get on the ground. The man instead reached for his handgun and shot Arredondo, killing him.

What’s that saying again? Oh yea, Don’t Mess With Texas. Why criminals still reside and operate in the gun-loving state is something that I won’t ever understand. This is another example of an armed citizen refusing to be a victim.

No charges are expected to be filed against the resident, who is not being named.
