[CCW IN ACTION] Three Robbers Enter Gas Station, Only One Leaves Alive

A gas station clerk is glad he made the decision to carry a firearm to work with him at a Marathon gas station in Canton, OH.

On Monday night during his shift, three armed men walked in and began to shoot at the clerk in an attempted robbery. Unknown to the robbers, the clerk was carrying a handgun and immediately began to return fire.

The clerk, who has not been identified, hit at least two of the three suspects. Two were found a short distance from the gas station and later died of their injuries. A third suspect is still on the loose and it is not known if he was also hit.

Friends of the clerk are praising his actions for standing up against crime and taking his safety into his own hands. Since the robbers started firing once they walked in, there is a good chance that they would have continued if the clerk was not able to return fire.

The clerk was apparently shot in the leg, and we wish him a speedy and full recovery.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Canton police Detective Bureau at (330) 489-3144.
