A teen in Ohio was shot and killed by an armed citizen after he tried to rob the man of a pair of shoes he had just purchased.

According to local news reports, the attempted robbery happened outside Dayton Mall on Saturday when three teens approached the man as he was leaving the mall. The teens were unable to get the pair of shoes that this man had purchased, and decided to rob him. One of the teens displayed a handgun during the attempted robbery.

The man, a holder of an Ohio concealed carry permit, drew his firearm and fired at the armed teen, killing him.

The two other teens were taken into custody and are awaiting possible charges.

This is yet another example of why it is so important to arm ourselves, as we never know when we may encounter violence such as this.
